Stereogamous “Face Love Anew”

Honey Soundsystem’s HNYTRX (San Francisco) and CockTail d’Amore (Berlin) have joined together for the debut single by Sydney’s Stereogamous called “Face Love Anew”  featuring Shawn J. Wright on vocals.   Stereogamous are a DJ/production duo from Sydney, Australia who have remixed LCD Soundsystem, Light Asylum, Sam Sparro and George Michael (White Light). Shaun J. Wright is best known for his contributions to wonderful Hercules and Love Affair.

The promo blurb describes it as  “A melancholic dance anthem that displays the weight of Wright’s deep, penetrating vocals. Stereogamous production effortlessly slithers around Shaun’s vocals before deliverng an epic breakdown, seamlessly gliding the listener into a massive, radiating head-rush. “Face Love Anew”‘s climactic peak activates all the pleasurable regions – beware of its effects on the dancefloor and in the bedroom.” Indeed. Whatever the blurb the snippet sounds like bloody good house music to me and up there with Hercules “My House” (still a major tune) or Azari & III “Restless with your love”.  These artists may be gay but it’s time for the gay club scene to wake up to underground house.

The digital release has remixes from Kim Ann Foxman, The Miracle’s Club , Horse Meat Disco and The Carry Nation. Anyhoo, here is the original mix. Love it.
